Job Description- Lead Ranger
Location: Dinosaur Outpost at Town Square
This position is a part-time position. We require anyone who works at Dinosaur Outpost to be 18 years or older.
As a Lead Ranger at Dinosaur Outpost, you will be responsible for either opening or closing the building. On either shift you are responsible for:
- Ensuring the building is secured appropriately
- Turning on/off all appropriate equipment
- Logging on/off all required accounts
- Assigned tills for all employees working a shift.
- Cash out tills for all employees working a shift.
- Fill out the daily information
- Assigning Rangers to positions
- Ensuring the attraction is guest ready for the day and ensuring we are maintaining high standards of cleanliness when closing the building at night.
- Ensuring areas are stocked as needed to be guest ready
- Reporting any building issues, inventory issues, or employee issues that come to your attention.
- Other duties as assigned
Pay:
Your hourly pay will remain $18.00 per hour. After 90 days $19.00
Report:
You will continue to report to Managers/Supervisor on duty.
Responsibilities:
1. Guest Engagement:
- Welcome guests warmly and create a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Engage with guests, answer their questions, and assist with inquiries.
2. Ticketing and Admissions:
- Sell tickets, memberships, and packages accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Verify and process admission tickets and waivers.
3. Information and Assistance:
- Provide accurate information about attractions, services, activities, and events.
- Assist guests in making decisions to enhance their experience.
4. Guest Relations:
- Build rapport with guests and develop positive relationships.
- Address guest concerns, complaints, or issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
5. Queue Management:
- Organize and manage queues for attractions and activities to ensure efficient guest flow.
- Implement crowd control measures during peak times.
6. Upselling and Promotions:
- Promote special offers, events, and upgrades to enhance the guest experience.
- Encourage additional purchases and enhancements as appropriate.
7. Membership and Loyalty Program Support:
- Assist guests in joining loyalty programs, memberships, and special clubs.
- Explain benefits and provide relevant information.
8. Transactions:
- Process credit card, and electronic payments accurately using the POS system.
9. Guest Feedback Collection:
- Solicit and collect guest feedback to improve services and offerings.
- Document guest comments and relay them to management for consideration.
10. Event Support:
- Assist in event coordination, setup, and support during special events and parties.
- Clean and prep for the following days operations.
11. Food and Beverage Operations
- Deliver offerings to party rooms.
- Assist party rooms with set-up and breakdown procedures.
12. Dinosaurs:
- Handle and show baby Dinosaurs to our guests.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hospitality, entertainment, or service-oriented setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests of all ages.
- Positive attitude and customer-focused approach, with a willingness to go the extra mile.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems for transaction processing.
- Ability to manage queues and guest flow during busy periods.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operational needs of the family-based attraction.
Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: 24+ Days are flexible but weekend availability is required.
